Your account has been successfully created. Before your first login, we invite you to read the following information.

Automated Moderation by Artificial Intelligence

The CardioConnect platform incorporates an automatic moderation system based on artificial intelligence (Gemini moderator, Google). This system automatically analyzes each message before publication in order to detect the presence of health data or information likely to identify a patient.

Any message containing such data is blocked before publication, without prior human intervention.

In accordance with Article 50§1 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 on Artificial Intelligence (“AIR”), you are hereby informed that you are interacting with an AI system when using the forum and private messaging.

In the event of unjustified blocking of one of your messages, you have the right to appeal to a human moderator directly from the platform interface. Any appeal will be acknowledged and processed within 48 business hours.

Publication Rules

As a healthcare professional, your participation on the platform is subject to the following rules:

  • Do not publish any data that could identify a patient (last name, first name, date of birth, social security number, file number, photograph, or any combination of information allowing direct or indirect identification).
  • Systematically anonymize clinical cases you wish to submit for discussion.
  • Respect medical confidentiality and professional secrecy applicable to you in all circumstances, including in your exchanges on the platform.
  • Any promotional, commercial, or non-healthcare-related publication is prohibited.
  • Disrespectful, defamatory, or dignity-infringing content is strictly prohibited.
  • Do not mention adverse effects in your exchanges, in accordance with the requirements of certain regulations.

Failure to comply with these rules may expose you to applicable legal sanctions.

Your Rights Under the GDPR

In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of personal data (GDPR), CardioConnect processes your data as data controller.

Your data is processed for the following purposes: account management, platform access, automated message moderation, and service improvement.

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR): obtain a copy of the data concerning you.
  • Right of rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): have inaccurate data corrected.
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): request deletion of your data in the cases provided by law.
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR): restrict the use of your data.
  • Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): object to certain processing.
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR): retrieve your data in a structured format.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority in your country of residence if you consider that the processing of your data does not comply with the GDPR.
